Day 1

An early morning flight to Cebu where we arrived at 5.15am at Cebu and we’ll be heading straight down to Oslob first.

Head to the taxi stand if you have not already pre-booked your transport. We stayed at Pobla Hotel.

Note: It should cost around PHP4,500 and it will be a 3.5hr drive from the airport down to Oslob.

Once we checked in, we headed to Whaleshack Cafe Oslob-Cebu for lunch and then explored Cuartel Ruins and Oslob Seaside Park before heading back for a quick nap.

After the recharge, we headed Inambakans Falls. I suggest heading there earlier as the place closes at 5pm, not that the place can close but the guide goes home then. And wow he sure has a steady foot in his flip flops while we struggle and pant. There are 3 sections to the waterfall but we only managed to see the first part since we arrived in the late evening. So I would suggest spending at least 2hrs here. And hop back on our bikes we go, back to our hotel where we had a quick dinner at Le Bistro Restaurant.

Sleep early, you’ll need it.

Day 2

Woke up crazy early the next day, and somehow came on a Public Holiday, so our concierge suggested we go even earlier than usual to try and beat the crowd. We were the crowd sadly. But it’s WHALESHARK WATCHING DAY at Oslob Whale Shark Watching!!

There were two options to see the whale sharks here: snorkel or dive. We went with snorkelling just cause it made more sense to see them from above rather than below (their bellies?), and it was cheaper too.

Fun fact: The whale sharks here, despite the locals being the ones luring them here for us tourists to see, not the most ethical way but these animals were apparently grandpas who were lazy to hunt for their own food. Hence, this is their “retirement plan“ as I would call it. So yes, just this handful of them, not all whalesharks are suppose to be like this.

While queuing, we decided to grab a quick breakfast at one of the cafes here: Cafe de DarVhen and wow the number of people here was INTENSE. Queued for our tickets before going through a briefing before we were finally called to board our boat and see the whale sharks. And wow I was in awe when they swam by with their mouth wide open. Apparently, they’re not even the biggest in size but it was still magical.

After all that excitement, we headed to Sumilon Island next! Think we spent a good 2-3hrs here just baking in the sun.

You thought we were done for the day? Of course not. We had another waterfall: Dao Falls to check out.

And wow you are in for legs day. Or you could hire a bike to bring you up and down that very steep hill teehee

It was finally time for us to head back for a much needed nap again before we came out for dinner next door which sold BBQ sticks.

Note: I do suggest staying one more day here in Oslob if you intend to do Canyoneering! (Some options for that: Aguinid Falls, Inambakan Falls, Kawasan Falls)

Day 3

Good morning and today we will be heading back to Cebu city. We stopped by Osmena Peak (cute 1hr hike up) too before arriving at our airbnb. Headed to the shopping mall next door: SM City Cebu for dinner before walking around Carbon Night Market. And we ended the night with a massage!

Massage options: Nuat Thai Massage or Bodyworks Massage

Day 4

Our last day here so buckle up for a full day ahead!

Decided to sleep in so we started our day with brunch at House of Lechon before making our way out of town to TOPS Cebu, Temple of Leah and Cebu Taoist Temple. And we ended our day with another massage: EL Spa (provides free shuttle service to the airport) before heading to the airport to catch our flight home.
